A tremendous sense & surge of selfhood and determination from it - from the complexities & the flights of argument - from Madden's argument with Espin, anarchy vs. law, at the end!
Thinking further of Marq'ssan cycle as being a landscape of people. The "worldbuilding", the geography, is the people.
