Battery fail

Zond7 bought new batteries for the scooter and then we took apart the battery case to find the old batteries are swollen and totally stuck in there. I am not sure what to do -- we tried to pry them out but they won't move even a millimeter.

We could maybe try breaking the case. I'm not sure!

A replacement looks to be $169... hmmmm.

Pain today

I'm in bad pain today, mostly just all my joints aching. All the finger joints including the littlest ones, toes, knees. It is my usual aches-when-it's-raining Fake Arthritis I guess.

I spent the night waking up from what i guess is something like "restless leg" or myoclonus; my neck has been doing this with uncontrollable little jerks and then last night my low back and legs started doing it. I took the cymbalta this morning and after a while it eased up but has not gone away. So I think my back and hips and neck are sore from the weird twitching/jerking.

This is the middle of week 2 for the cymbalta. Everyone says hang in there and it gets easier and the side effects go away and I will then feel awesome. I hope so.

I am feeling like whimpering and that it is intolerable and so just took a half a vicodin, early in the day for me to do that but... can't stand it. Maybe a whole vicodin. I meant not to take any until I get on the plane. Man I feel like crap. I cancelled my meeting with the sxswi dude i am on a panel with. I was also going to go to the bank to take myself off rook and my's joint account, but it is hard to get myself to leave the house. Am planning on going out with moomin and ada and zond7 and others tomorrow to the park (to sit on a blanket and have a picnic while the kids run around) but if it isn't sunny and if I still feel like this I might not manage it. depressing.

More book recs?

I keep demanding book recs!!! I read almost all the ones people recced me a few weeks ago, with just a few left for the plane ride on sunday.

Anyone else have recs? I like mysteries and romance novels a fair bit, as well as sf/f and history and science things. I need to load up my amazon reader on my phone!

I would especially like some huge cracktastic series! There must be something I haven't read yet!

There are some honking big books I have been saving for such occasions but for a long plane ride I would rather have something less daunting than The Man Without Qualities & etc.
