Blobular infectious organism
Sep. 14th, 2012 08:02 amI had an extremely elaborate dream where I saw a sort of giant pink slime mold/slug in the house of a friend I was visiting. It then turned into their cat. I thought that I must be hallucinating, so I apologized. It was very disturbing. Then people around us -- and us -- started liquifying, arms shrinking into our bodies first, then the rest of us melting into those blobs stuffed into amoeba-skin sausage casings. We, and the microscopic alien organisms that had infected us, figured out how to re-shape our bodies back to almost-normal. I felt very odd. It was a relief that I hadn't been hallucinating, and that now everyone understood the situation.
Our building was quarantined by police and the military, but most of us got out anyway, faking humanity. At one point, I picked some locks with my melty finger, just for fun, and fused with my computer. At another I recall extruding most of my vagina inside-out so that I could hold it in my hand and marvel at it.
It became impossible not to let the cats out -- they would escape through cracks by melting -- so we hoped they had become intelligent enough not to be hit by cars.
As I walked down the street warily skirting the police barricades I was moving slowly, still unused to my new body, and thought through how I would explain that I am disabled, I walk with a limp, and wasn't "infected". I just walk slowly. Luckily I was never challenged.
