Seaside!
I am enjoying the beach and the town here and the super cute nice little hotel, but, my scooter doesn't work, I have a really janky manual chair rental but its right front wheel caster keeps bending, and my hands hurt a lot just in general so I am not sure if I am brave enough to go out in this chair by myself. I really want to go out by myself though before zond7 wakes up! if i can't go far, at least i can sit on the beach along the malecon (the nice flat path along the road by the sea) and can sit next to the skate park which is only 1 block away but which I couldn't get to yesterday. Also, i want to buy some plain tylenol, and insect lotion, and some secret cookies to hide from zond7.
the guy who is the waiter for the little cafe in the daytime sat with me today and we talked about ecological activism and so on, there is a strip mine project here in the only forest in baja, and groups organizing against it, including a rather amazing looking old hippie named rainbow hawk. we looked at pages on his ipad and i outed myself as a poet. i am very very tempted to go in a hotel kayak if he will put one out for me tonight though obviously paddling will hurt my hands. but a gentle paddle along the shoreline... along the malecon at night with the lights and people! it would be so nice. the water is perfectly calm this morning like glass. i also looked at photos of balandra and it sounds like i could get into the water and then swim around the point (and the water is only 3 feet deep more or less all the way) Maybe balandra tomorrow?
