That sounds dirty doesn't it? Camden Lock really made me want to shoplift. It had a million stalls with: stupid tshirts, fake punk rock tshirts, leather bracelets with studs in them, headbands with bows or peacock feathers, sequinned things from thailand or india, pashminas, silver jewelry hand made yet sucktastic, slutty stockings; all sending telepathic waves into the reptilian hindbrain of my inner teenager.

I have a new plan to create an entire line of punk rock tea towels since no one else seems to have. Album covers, plain old two-tone, maybe some lyrics (sheet music of something very obnoxious, with the lyrics too) Perhaps fake rips held together by painted-on safety pins.

What I bought instead:

* two nearly identical useful black tank tops with stretchy (non scratchy) lace that are the cut i like (not v-neck and sort of wide but then tight fitting, good for using for a bra) and one just like it but stripey.

* thin scarf with stars on it for zond7 (dark blue)

* beaded strands sort of like you'd make a beaded curtain with but with tiny stuffed birds on it, and a bell (very cheap)

* a very thin shirt, fabric from india, 3 pounds - woot! (this for me)

* tiny boxes with mirrors and flower beads for the kids & my nephew (ideal for using for the prize at the end of a quest that your action figures or animals are on)

* several very cheap leather bound notebooks with tibetan paper in them, for presents for teenagers and one for me

I saw the perfect tshirt for A. which was an airbrushed elf girl holding a kitten and waering a hawk on her shoulder. There was also a crystal ball and the moon. Will try to get it online in her size. Moomin could have a dragon one to go with his airbrushed dolphins playing in waves.

There was an entire underground area called the Horse Tunnels or The STable . suddenly "stalls" made sense. Horse statues everywhere.

The canal locks work so well. you slither your narrow boat into the lock. then tie it up to the cleats. use your special canal-opening tool to ratchet some setting in the machinery, then to turn a sort of capstan to open the lock doors. wait while your boat zooms down. go down the stairs after it and hop in . exciting! i could do that and i totally will!!!

I wanted to go to Liberties fabric store for my sister and didn't get there on time. Met zond7 at fortnum and mason ... ran into cass... ran into Dave... WTF?

nearly bought my sister a bottle of ants.

picknic awesomeness! in st. james park! we loafed, we lay, we devoured endless strange tea cakes and cheeses in the name of Tea Tea Tea! Did not have tea. We had Cava.

must blog conversations, food, funny people, and the strange accessibility art installation that, solar and water powered, aesthetically, as part of the architectural respect of ... stuff... went from the middle of a flight of stairs into the middle of a flight of stairs.

there will be photos.

So sad I never made it down to Camden for work when I was with the UK production company! Their London office was there.

But I bet you'd make a mint on faux-punk tea towels.

Faux-punk resuble shopping bags are also an untapped market.

telepathic waves into the reptilian hindbrain of my inner teenager. HA HA! Just wait, Moomin will be stretching out his own reptilian hindbrain in the sun before the decade is done!

were the ants chocolate covered?

punk rock tea towels are great, I know several people who need them now.
