Holy Pau-Henoa! I realized in the middle of the book I'm reading that it's by the same person who wrote Amy Unbounded. It's set in the same world! Queen Belondweg!! SO AWESOME. So, I'm up in the middle of the night coughing, but so happy in this book. I hope there will be more more more.

:D There is a sequel due out this summer. I think I liked Amy Unbounded even better? But I read it second, so it felt even more like settling into the world.

Oh, wow, I am so envious!. I have the Belondweg Blossoming collection, but I'm not sure it includes all the minicomics.

Me too! I think I may have to very very carefully take them apart and xerox them so that I can share them with a young child without freaking out about them getting destroyed.

I wish there was some way they'd ever get reprinted in a bound volume. They're so great.

RIGHT? I was just walking through a bookstore this summer and saw it and was like, "is that the same Rachel Hartman?" And then it was in the same world!

And then it became this major YA hit and won the Morris award this weekend, and there is more of that world and it makes me SO HAPPY.

OMG, she's written other stuff????! Hooray! Not only does that mean she's likely to keep writing, but it also helps explain why it didn't feel like a very very first novel.

(I just read the book last week. Good!)

I think the bound graphic novel of much of her comics is out of print but is available in many libraries. It has a much younger audience, I feel.
