i am all packed! i have not done the slides for my talk yet but I emailed myself all the notes and slides from past talks printed some stuff for the conference so that I can think about context.

exhausted but feeling plucky and rather excited about seeing vienna even in the freezing cold.

i have not managed to pack the small boots so, either i need to unpack everything and re-pack and cram it even more, wear the huge snow boots, or, just suck it up and wear the smaller boots which are sheepskin lined so might be enough....

Too late, but it might be easier to fashion a shawl or throw into a lap blanket to supplement the smaller boots.

Good luck! weather.com says low of 24/25 which is pretty cold but not arctic. Weather looks slushy - snow and then rain. It might be too late but I'd bring good boots because slush turns into ice.
