Dear City,

There is nothing like free wifi and excellent breakfast with giant pot of excellent coffee to make me like your city. I like this decadent hotel. Just now I was idly gazing at the columns in the lobby cafe and thinking they were fake sculpted concrete but they are actually sandstone with little fossils in it. either that or someone bothered to stick oyster shell fossils into the concrete. I would not put it past your theatricalness to do so.

love, me

p.s. I cannot quite shake the feeling of creepy looming fascist/imperial architecture and like there are the ghosts of nazis everywhere. It is weird.

p.p.s. please stop playing that one waltz, enough is enough, i get it, i get it...

re: p.s., I think it would take a year to shake those shadows, and even then they'd jump out in the corner of the eye randomly. But then we have shadows too in our becolumned cities over the waves.

Concrete is partly made out of sand! If they get sand from a place that has little fossils in the sand, you get little fossils in the concrete.
